Just FYI

Had a great night last night. Brandon only woke up once to eat and then went back to bed. I think I got 7 whole hours of sleep (not in a row, but still). I'm feeling good! Also, I went to see a screening of KUNG FU PANDA this morning at CityWalk with Paul. It was Brandon's first movie and he was great through it. He slept most of the time. The movie was beautifully done and fun to watch. Dare I say, it is Dreamworks best movie thus far (but perhaps I am biased). Plus, Jack Black is hilarious. Everyone go to see it. It is the first movie Paul worked on at Dreamworks and we are very proud of him.

My morning

I made the mistake of staying up late to watch the two hour season finale of LOST. It was a great episode, but unfortunately Brandon was asleep the whole time. So I definitely paid for my decision because it meant I lost two hours of sleep (added to the fact that he didn't sleep well last night anyway). Needless to say I was quite tired this morning when I got up. To make matters worse, I go to the pantry to get Leah some breakfast and I notice there are ants ALL over the place. Not exactly what I needed after my sleepless night. At least it was a good excuse to reorganize my pantry, right? (ha...not so much) So as I'm cleaning up all the ants, my wonderful mom calls and asks if I want have the girls spend the night at her house tonight(Divine intervention. I think so.) I answer YES without hesitation, and all the sudden my day is looking much brighter.

Here's a picture of little B.... just because he's cute. (Despite the fact that he kept me up half the night.)

Super Strong!

I had Brandon on the floor on his stomach, enjoying a little tummy time. I guess he got tired of it because he let out a little cry and flipped himself over onto his back. What the heck? He's only a month old. Maybe it was just some kind of freak reflex action, OR maybe he's gonna be the next WWF baby wrestler. All I know is my girls never did that this early. Not by a long shot.

Just a few shots

Should I be scared that Daddy has me???
Can you read his shirt? It's more like a party at 1 am for him, but you get the point. He's actually not doing so bad. He wakes up twice a night and is up long enough to eat and then goes right back to sleep.
Just a shot of the girls being silly. They thought this "bed" was the greatest thing they have ever made.

Kite flying and Brandon's Blessing

Pop Pop and Daddy took Ashlyn for her first kite flying experience. It was a beautiful windy day and Ashlyn had a blast. Her kite went so high.
(Hard to believe she needed long pants and a jackets earlier last week. It's sweltering outside now. Hoping for a little relief soon, or we're in for one HOT summer.)

Grammy and Brandon enjoying a little TLC.

Since Paul's parents were in town, we went ahead and blessed Brandon on Sunday. Paul gave him a beautiful blessing. Pretty pathetic that I didn't take any pictures of Brandon in his blessing outfit. It was so hot out that I took it off him right after church. We'll have to do a photo shoot at home later. Ahh. The life of the third child.

Mother's Day and the Doctor's office

Look at that cutie. We love him. He had a well baby check up today. He's doing fantastic. Infact, he's now 8 pounds and 8 ounces (a full two pounds heavier than when we left the hospital). I knew he was a good eater, I just didn't realize he was THAT good of an eater.

Mother's Day at Grandma Briggs house (Saturday).
Yum Yum!!! Grandpa Ron cooked a delicious dinner. And Paul did the dishes. What a wonderful day. I also got breakfast in bed. Boy was I spoiled.
Grandma Briggs, Brandon and Ashlyn.
Grammy and Pop Pop have come into town to meet their first grandson.
Aww....Isn't this a sweet picture? I love it.

May 5th

Being that today is my official due date, I just had to make a quick post and say how EXTREMELY happy I am that my little boy is 2 weeks old (tomorrow). And as grateful as I am that I am able to have children, no amount of convincing could get me to believe that these two weeks would have gone by faster if I was still pregnant.

I'm glad to say I'm feeling good and, so far, adjusting well to life with three little kids. I am also SO SO thankful for all my wonderful friends who have called, brought me dinners, offered to take my girls, or even just had good thoughts for me these past two weeks. I feel so blessed to have such good friends and family close by that are willing to jump in and help when needed. So a big thank you to all of you. You really are the best!
