I know, I am jaded and will probably get "hate" comments from this one, but I think I need this shirt. HA HA HA.... (This is NOT a hint Brooke. I'm just joking.)

Breakfast

It is barely 8 O'clock in the morning. Leah has already had a waffle, a whole banana, yogurt and milk for breakfast.
Ashlyn has had.....apple juice. Does this surprise anyone? And if Ashlyn happens to actually eat anything this morning, Leah will undoubtably want some.

Have you ever seen 3D finger paint? Well, Ashlyn had so much fun playing in the paint, it just kept piling and piling on top of each other until it became 3D. Isn't it a beautiful masterpiece? Shh....don't tell her that it went in the trash.

So now I am "it". There is a challenge going around (thanks Brooke) where you have to name 7 interesting things that most people don't know about you. The key is the "interesting" part. Let's see if I can think of 7 whole things that most people don't know and might actually be "interested" in finding out about me. HA....

1. In elementary school I could run faster than any boy in my class.
2. I had my own pig when I was little. His name was chalko (he was chocolate marbled in color). He wasn't really a pet. He lived out back in the pig pen and we eventually butchered and ate him.
3. I got in a wreck on a four wheeler when I was in 8th grade. Crashed into a barb wired fence, cut my face and head up and broke my arm in two places (one being the socket that connects your arm to the rest of you. I'm so technical in my description huh? I don't even know what the bone is called.)
4. My four wheeler wreck happened approx. 3 weeks after I had gotten a cast off my left hand/arm from a run in with some dumb boy who pushed me over while playing basketball at school. (Haven't broken a bone before than or since.)
5. I was homeschooled my seventh grade year. (My mom's grand attempt to shelter us from the world. It only lasted one year.)
6. I LOVE the movie "Newsies" and know almost every song (although I will NEVER sing them for you, so don't ask.)
7. I know this one is random, but I've never had anyone close to me pass away (family or friend. I should probaby knock on wood now huh?)

The Huntington Library

I just found out about this cool place last week. It's beautiful. 120 acres of botanical gardens with a children's water play area. And it's free every first Thursday of the month. (It's in Pasadena).

Here is Beth and Tyler in the Children's area. Isn't that little garden house beautiful. We tried to get the kids to go in it so we could take a picture, but they wouldn't cooperate.

Beth probably didn't want to be in this picture, but I like people in my pictures. Isn't the Japanese Garden gorgeous? There was so much to see. We barely scratched the surface. We'll definitely be back.

The rest of the week

Ashlyn went to Disneyland with her Aunt and Uncle last Thursday. They spoiled her rotten and came home with this beautiful Ariel dress with tiara and wand.


Then the next day we went to Santa Barbara and over to the zoo there. It's a fun little zoo with a great train around the park and lots of open space. Afterwards we went to this little steak restaurant quite literally in the middle of nowhere. The bathrooms were outside and the ground was dirt. It was yummy though and quite scenic.




On Saturday we went to see Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End. It was AWESOME. I loved it. And then on Sunday we just hung with the family at my mom's house and had tacos. We took some family photos with my brother-in-laws super nice camera. I think they turned out pretty well. Over all, it was a FABULOUS week. Packed full of fun and non stop action. I am sure my sister is exhausted. Me, Ashlyn and Leah had to pretty much take Monday OFF. We hung around the house most of the day and watched cartoons. Fun fun....Come again soon sissy. We miss you already.
