YUM!

LOOK what I brought back from Florida!!! I can't decide if I should eat them up right away, or save them because I can't buy them out here. Decisions, decisions.

Florida Wedding part 1

The flight to Florida is LONG. That is all I can say about it. It's DARN LONG. Five hours to be exact. Sometimes longer, if you have a head wind. But despite that, the kids did pretty darn well. The girls were great actually. They're old enough to be occupied with toys, coloring, and movies. Brandon...well, he did well for a two year old. Poor guy got SO tired by the end of the flight, he just didn't know what to do with himself. I finally took over (Paul was in charge of him most of the trip) and I was able to get him to sleep the last hour. Miracle!!!

After getting our luggage, picking up our rental and driving out to the hotel, we were more than ready to relax and get some good sleep. Luckily with the time change, the kids managed to sleep until almost ten in the morning. So of course, Paul and I did too! Then we had some breakfast, headed down to the beach and played, played, played. It was great to be back on FL beaches and enjoy the sun. Unfortunately, our skin was not ready for all that glorious sun, and we all ended up with some good burns, despite the slathering of sunscreen every hour. Ashlyn, of course, got it the worst (being the fairest). I felt so bad for her.

That night (Friday), we had the wedding rehearsal, and then headed out for some yummy food at an italian place down the street from the hotel. It was the perfect atmosphere and everyone had a great time!

Ashlyn will take the opportunity to dance with anyone. She just LOVES it. Here she is with her Uncle Chad. I think SHE asked him to dance. SO cute. I think it might have melted his heart!

Me, My Aunt Brenda (pretty lady huh), and my mom (her new glasses look AWESOME. Way to go Mom. It's about time...hehe). Oh and that's my Uncle's head peeking in between me and my Aunt. He thinks he's pretty darn funny!

At the rehearsal. Brandon and his new cousin Kameron, who is playing with Paul's Iphone. I thought it was SO cute how Brandon put his little hand on Kameron's arm. I don't think Kameron was all that thrilled. I'm sure they'll be good little buddies though.

The flower girls. The little girl's Grandma had made those dresses for all three flower girls the night before. I thought that was SO sweet of her to think of my girls too. Her name is Eleanor and she's almost 4, but pretty tiny for her age. She made friends right away with my girls though and they were buddies the whole rest of the weekend. My girls were pretty sad on Sunday to find out they wouldn't be seeing Eleanor now that the wedding was over.

My new countertops

SO much to blog about, SO little energy to do it. So instead of starting in on my FL trip(which was SO much fun btw), here is what I had done to my countertops right before we left.

Little Buddies

So I know they don't look too terribly happy in these photos(it was hot out), but they were having fun paling around together and holding hands as they walked around the zoo, because of course, they are both TOO old to be in a stroller. It was pretty darn cute!

Take your kid to work Day

The awaited day finally came. Ashlyn's "best day of the year". The day she gets to go to work with her daddy.....all by herself....just her and him.....all day long. She loves it. So much so that at the end of the day when Paul said it was time to leave, Ashlyn was sad and said, "Let's stay at work Daddy. I don't want this day to end."

The Theme was "How to Train your Dragon" of course. Paul got to teach the "modeling" class to the kids, then they got to make their own dragons from predesigned templates. Ashlyn made hers and then decided that Daddy's job isn't so hard. haha....

She got to meet Hiccup and get her picture taken with him.

And she got to go with some friends into the "secret" room that was created by some guys in the "character effects' department. See, this was a little space in the air conditioning ducts that some guys at work found one day. They slowly started bringing furniture and stuff inside it and made it their own secret spot. Dreamworks found out about it and instead of firing all the guys involved, they helped them make it into a "legitimate" room that was up to code. Before hand, it was just one great big fire hazard. So the "secret" room isn't so secret anymore, although the entrance is still covered by a bookshelf and you have to know which book to move to be able to get inside. So needless to say, Ashlyn thought it was pretty darn cool.

Computer Savvy

It didn't take long for this little boy to figure out how to use daddy's "toys". He's already a pro.
