Leah and Khloe

I went over to Ty and Heather's house today to hang out with my mom and Heather.  And of course, her beautiful girls! It's so fun getting to know these sweet little babies. They are so different. It's hard to believe they are twins. Khloe is awake a lot more than Kylan and likes to be held and snuggled more. She may be the tinier of the two, but I have a feeling she will not be forgotten. If one of them is fussing, you can bet it's Khloe. Although her fuss is still nothing in comparison to my baby boys cry. Leah, naturally, wanted to hold Khloe. She just loves babies. I'm so glad to get to live by them. I love having family around. I can't wait to watch all these cousins grow up together. What fun memories they will make!

Recent Happenings around here

A bit messy, but I think he likes it. Yay for Rice Cereal! I actually started giving him cereal a couple weeks ago, but just now took a picture of it. So now that he's a pro cereal eater, it's time to move onto some veggies and fruits. So stay tuned! 

Brandon let me take his picture. He even said "cheese"! Here he is with his latest guy! Thanks Pop, for the new "plastic man". 

Grandma's here! Mostly to help Ty and Heather with the twins, but we'll see her some too. I'm glad she can be here to help Heather. One's hard enough at first. I can't imagine TWO! Oh, but they are OH SO adorable. (I will post pictures of them later).

(As a side note, since you can see the trampoline in the background, I just want to give a HUGE shout out to my In-laws for this wonderful gift. The kids LOVE it and are out bouncing on it just about every day. So thank you, thank you, thank you! It's nice to have them excited to play in the backyard.)

My little Helper

I might of made the cookies, but Leah did the rest.

First she helped lick the beater.

Then she did the dishes.

Next she cleaned the sink,

Frosted the cookies,

Decorated the cookies,

And then ate them up!

Kind of sounds like a rendition of "The Little Red Hen", with a happy ending for all!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Raise your hand...

.....if you've ever seen Brandon share his "guys". Not raising your hand? Well, that's because he DOES NOT share them (except with maybe Elijah from time to time). But for the most part, he doesn't share them. They go just about everywhere with him. And when we get out of the car, or it's time to be around other little kids (like at the park or in nursery), than he puts them in my diaper bag and tells me to keep them so no one can take them from him. Because, and I quote "it makes me mad". But this morning when I walked into my room, here he was not only SHARING, but letting Carter slobber all over his "guys". And not only that....he shares the Ipad with Carter ALL the time. Seriously, this is love. True brotherly love! I think they are going to be the best of friends. Brandon just can't wait for his "Baby Carter", as he calls him, to grow up.

Yes, I realize this is the second post in a row with Brandon playing on the Ipad. He's a bit addicted. Luckily Paul takes it to work with him everyday, so his time on it is quite limited.

A little competition

And we thought Brandon learned to play the iPad early. Looks like his little bro is showing him up. He better watch out. Carter's gonna be a pro before he takes his first bite of solids.

My Baby Nieces (they're here!)

They're here! And they're SO beautiful! I love being an Aunt. 

I was lucky enough to get to go down to the hospital this morning to say hi to Ty and Heather (who are already sleep deprived...poor things) and to get to see my new nieces. Aren't they adorable? 

On the left is Khloe and on the right is Kylan. I think Khloe looks like Heather and Kylan favors Tyler. But who knows, that could change. Either way, they're perfect. I'm so proud of Heather. She had a tough go being pregnant with twins. But she's one tough girl and is a wonderful momma. These little girls are lucky to be born into such a great family. I'm excited to get to live so close to them and watch them grow. 

Heather's mom is here to help Heather and Tyler and was nice enough to hold Carter for me so that I could hold the twins. 

Here's little Kylan born at 6 pounds and 14 ounces and measuring 19 inches long (I didn't get a shot of Khloe by herself, but she weighed 5 pounds and 7 ounces and measured 18 inches long.)
