Labor Day

We had a fun family day for Labor Day. We weren't up for a big beach day (although I'm sure the weather was great there), so we took the kids down to Burbank to go see a movie. We had to divide and concur since the boys weren't interested in the movie the girls wanted to see. And the girls weren't interested in the movie the boys wanted to see. The times matched up pretty well so it worked out nicely. Funny thing is Carter was by far the most excited to go to the movies and yet once the movie started he was so squirmy and kept asking for me. So Paul didn't have the greatest time trying to keep him happy. Oh well. Paul didn't care much about seeing the movie "Planes" anyway. Me and the girls watched the boy band documentary on One Direction. It was pretty cute and funny to see all the squirrely girls in the theater. Ashlyn was laughing at them. She's not quite into music like some other girls her age are. Leah ate it up a bit more but she was still laughing at some of the silliness of it. 

After the movie we headed to Fuddruckers for dinner and then to Ikea to look at new desks for the girls rooms. 

And yes I said girls room(S). As in plural. Because Labor Day weekend also included some labor as we spent a good deal of time on Saturday taking the crib down and switching the kids around. We aren't done quite yet. Date night beckoned and we ran out of time. But we at least got the crib down, bunk beds apart and the girls half way situated in their new spaces. The boys are sharing now and seem quite happy about it. And the girls are thrilled to be apart. Lol.

That's Ashlyn eating a hamburger. She's only ever had one other one her whole entire life, of which she only ate a few bites of it. 

But look.....this is definitely documentable. Is that a word? She ate the whole thing! Guess that's what a Fuddruckers burger can do to a girl. YUM!
