The birthday party

Since Carter's birthday is on Halloween, we have to find a separate day to celebrate so that it's more about him and not about the holiday everyone else is enjoying. He mentioned wanting to go to Chuck E Cheese like his brother did earlier this year, so I gathered a few of his little buddies the Monday before his birthday and we had a party. Paul usually tries to take off from work on the kids birthdays, if they fall on a weekday, so I was glad Paul was able to be there. It almost didn't happen because of a meeting he was suppose to have that morning, but luckily they rescheduled it for him.

This little guy was SO happy at his party and totally had a great time. Thanks to my cute friends for coming and helping us celebrate with him. He was so happy to have your kids there with him. I could tell he felt like it was finally "his turn" and that made me so happy.

Seriously...look at this smiley guy.

He even got to go in the ticket blaster which I was half expecting him to freak out in, but he didn't. He was so into it and was totally trying to grab all the tickets he could. I guess I underestimate him and still want to think of him as my little baby, but he's so growing up on me. It's bittersweet for sure.

Love this little Emberlynn. You say smile and she lights right up. Her momma has trained her well. 

Carter was totally into Chuck E Cheese too. Kept giving him hugs and high fives. It was so fun to watch him enjoy his day.

And as we know, this kid doesn't really eat much. He's not actually eating his cupcake here. Just trying to get the M&M's off of it.

He got lots of fun gifts, most of which included Ninja turtle themed things which are his favorite right now. But Grammy made him his own hooded towel that he's been wanting forever. Now he matches his big brother at bath time. Woohoo!

And Paul was the chosen ticket muncher. He did quite a good job at it too. Love ya honey!
