Leah's new bed

We were going to get bunkbeds for the girls, but for the sake of space and after pricing it all out, decided to just get another toddler bed for now. Leah was SO SO SO excited. And she did SO well. She got her book, dolls, and crawled right in. She never got out of bed once. Hooray!!! Hopefully she'll continue doing well, even once the novelty of it all wears off. Ashlyn is super excited too. Maybe she doesn't totally understand what "sharing a room" means, but for now, she loves that Leah is in her room.

I know her bedding is lame. Her new stuff hasn't been delivered yet. I'll take a new picture when it gets here. She picked it out herself. Can you guess what it is?






Reading a bedtime story. Notice Leah is in two different sets of pajamas. This is normal. She can't always decide if she wants a nightgown, or pj's. Silly girl.




I had my appt with the high risk doctor this past week. He's a SUPER busy doctor. Infact, this ultrasound was done at 8:30 at night and there were at least 5 other pregnant women in the waiting room after me. Anyway, he's also a man of VERY few words. He basically did the ultrasound in silence, printed a few pictures, handed me one and said, "baby is fine, placenta is fine". Ok, I thought, that's great. So I guess that's it. And I left. Hopefully I won't have to go back there anymore. I like my ObGyn much better.

How long did you date? about 5 months and then engaged for 4, but we knew each other for almost a year before dating

Who eats more sweets? Well, I'm not around him all day at work, but I would guess that I probably eat more sweets.

Who said I love you first? He did.

Who is taller? He is. I think he's about 6'1" or so. I'm 5'9"

Who can sing better? Me, but that isn't saying a whole lot for either of us.

Who is smarter? That would be Paul.

Who does the laundry? I do.

Who does the dishes? Mostly me. Paul seems to do them more on weekends though (sometimes).

Who pays the bills? I do, but he does the taxes.

His guilty pleasure? He's a computer guy. So anything to do with his computer. And books. He loves to read.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you're facing it, he does.

Who mows the lawn? What lawn???

Besides you, who is his best friend? Hm... I don't know. He has lots of work friends, but I don't know who he would consider his best friend.

Who cooks dinner? Me... all the way. The poor boy can hardly boil water. That's okay, he loves everything I make, even if it's not good.

Who drives? Usually me. I like my driving better.

Who is more stubborn? Me definitely. But he is more stubborn when it comes to taking medicine.

Who kissed who first? I kissed him. He was taking too long.

Who asked who out first? N/A (see next question)

What was your first date? I don't really know what our first date was. We hung out a lot before we started dating. I think the first time I remember feeling like I was on a date was when I met his parents (at his brother's graduation and we all went out to dinner together.)

Who proposed? Paul did of course.

Who has more siblings? Same. We're both the middle child of 3, except I have one sister and one brother, and he has two brothers.

Who wears the pants? I would say both of us. I wonder what he would say though. HEHE

What is your favorite thing about him? He's mine. And he loves me. Isn't that enough.

Easy Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

This one's for you Jamie O. Hope you like it. We loved it. Even Ashlyn and Leah ate it. Leah more willingly than Ashlyn, but still.

2 lbs. ground turkey
1 cup milk (I used evaporated milk)
1 cup italian bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. Season All Salt (or you can use salt and pepper if that's all you have)
1 TBSP Worcheshire sauce
1 cup colby cheese, shredded (you can use more if you want it more cheesy)
1/2 cup ketchup (optional)

Mix all but the last two ingredients together. Fold in cheese last. Pack into a loaf pan and spread ketchup on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour or to internal temp of 180 degrees on a meat thermometer.

SO yummy and moist. I also added about 1/2 cup of finely chopped bell pepper. And I halved the recipe and it still made plenty for our size family (with some leftovers).

Then I served it with steamed veggies (which the girls gagged on), and roasted red potatoes seasoned with Season All Salt and Olive Oil.

For those of you who don't see me on a regular basis, here is a shot of the growing buddha. I think it's starting to grow on an almost daily basis now. I'm officially in my 7th month (28 weeks). We can't wait to meet this little guy.

by my friend Jamie. To write down 10 things that I love, in honor of Valentines Day. So here is goes...

1) I love laying out in the sun, preferably at the beach (with no children. Sorry girls :o)
2) I love girls nights out and dates with my hubby.
3) I love watching my daughters play and enjoy themselves. Sometimes I just sit and stare at them and think about how it's so fun to have them and love them (despite the crazy times).
4) I love to eat. I would narrow it down, but lately I just love food. (Except seafood. Yuck.)
5) I love having a washer and dryer in my home. I can't get over HOW much easier laundry is when you don't have to lug it in and out of your house.
6) I love sitting in the shower with hot water running over my head.
7) I love pedicures and facials.
8) I love getting into bed every night, wrapping the covers all around me, and feeling all comfy.
9) I love having great friends. A girl needs friends. Especially when they are stay at home mommies.
10) Most of all, I love my family. My husband, for being so patient and kind to me. And my girls because they make life meaningful.

A beautiful day for the Huntington Gardens

The girls had a blast playing in the children's area today. And the weather couldn't have been more perfect. It wasn't too cool and it wasn't too warm.



This little boy is TOO cute for words. I tried to get Beth to let me have him, but I don't think she was going for it.

Don't we all have a double out there somewhere?

I know I've seen this picture before, so if you are the one that originally showed it to me, let me know, cuz I can't remember. Anyway, Paul's parents sent this to us. Now I don't have to worry about putting Ashlyn in the "Hollywood" scene. Her double is already in it (and with more hair. I hope this is what I have to look forward to in the future. This little girls hair is beautiful.)
